Stress & anxiety attacks are common among all age groups. 20% of young adults on some sort of medication for stress, depression, anxiety or some stress related illness.

How it works

If you knew a way to be in complete control of your Emotions, would that be something you would be interested in?
Most of us want to be less angry, less fearful, less sad, less unhappy. When we feel this way we do not get the results we truly want in our relationships, careers, physical fitness, and looks. Why is that?
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is very effective in clearing negative emotions such as anger, fear, sadness, depression, anxiety, unhappiness and more, without the aid of any medication.
How Does it Work?

EFT is sometimes called “acupuncture without needles” and generates its results by balancing the body’s energy meridians while the client “tunes in” to their problem in a gentle, conversational manner. In this way an important link is established between mind and body.
It parallels acupuncture, except that needles are not used. Instead, certain meridian points are stimulated by tapping with the fingertips while the client focuses on the issue they wish to resolve.
A simple way to explain how the EFT strategies work is to use the analogy of a circuit breaker in your kitchen. Once the circuit is over-powered you cannot turn the lights on or get the refrigerator to cool until the circuit breaker has been reset. EFT resets the circuits in a person’s body and mind.
Most people have had someone at some point in their lives say ‘snap out of it, just change and think positive’, ‘be positive and you will feel positive’. Sometimes this works and sometimes it does not.
The law of attraction is you get what you focus on, you get what you think about. But you don’t feel positive, you try to be positive you want to feel better but you do not know how. As much as you try you still cannot completely shake off that negative emotion.
EFT is easy to learn, amazingly effective and children at a very young age can use it, you can also use it on babies.
You too can be emotionally free and you can have the tools to do this. Especially being a parent you would have a tool to help your children, if you work with children this is a great way to teach them how to control their anger and disappointments. In the work place you can overcome your fear and anxiety of dealing with work colleagues, projects and public speaking.

Fibromyalgia

What are the Symptoms of Fibromyalgia?

Pain

Chronic widespread pain is the number one symptom of Fibromyalgia. The type of pain experienced can vary from person to person. It could be sharp stabbing pain in one sufferer, and described as throbbing or twitching in another. In most sufferers, the pain does seem to be worse in the morning and during cold or humid weather. This pain occurs within all four quadrants on the body and increases when pressure is applied.

Sleep Problems

Many diagnosed patients had a sleep disorder that prevents them from getting needed restorative sleep. Sleep studies of Fibromyalgia patients have shown very distinct abnormalities that occur during Stage 4 sleep. These abnormalities trigger awake-like brain activity that in turn limits the amount of time the patient spends in deep sleep.

Fatigue

Because of the combination of the pain and sleep problems, many patients suffer from fatigue. This fatigue can interfere with emotional and personal activities.

Depression

Is depression a symptom or a cause of Fibromyalgia? There are differing opinions on this within the medical community. Approximately 30% of all Fibromyalgia sufferers are diagnosed with depression. The link between depression and Fibromyalgia is an important one regardless of whether depression is a cause or effect of the syndrome.

Alternative Treatments

Many sufferers turn to alternative treatments. These include; herbs and supplements(melatonin, SAME,5-HTP and Bach Flower Remedies) physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, and emotional freedom techniques (EFT). EFT has a lot of potential to in most cases minimize the pain and in some cases cause a complete remission. These emotional tapping techniques, once learned from a knowledgeable instructor, allow the sufferer to address these emotional issues which in turn are causing physical pain.

Migraines

Migraine ranks in the top 20 of the world’s most disabling medical illnesses.

Amazingly, over 10% of the population, including children, suffers from migraine. Nearly 1 in 4 U.S. households includes someone with migraine.

Power of Positive Thinking

The power of positive thinking most people are unaware of the power being positive has.  Since the Secret and other books, movies and cd’s about positive thinking have been published there are many of you out there who have lost the belief in this power.

Being negative comes easier for most than being positive, but positive thinking is an engine that drives motivation to action.   Action then leads to reaching goals and dreams.

Worrying about the future leads to fear of the future.  The future has not happened therefore fear and worry are a waste of time.   The energy being used with worry and fear could easily be used for positive thoughts and visions for your future which then brings joy in the moment.

Living in the moment however is also very challenging for people as they tend to be regretting the past or being fearful of the future.

Balance

Balance, everyone wants balance in their lives. How do you know when you have it?

First you have to know what is out of balance before you can become completely in balance.

Where in your life do you think you have an imbalance, how was this created, what are you doing about it.   Are you even aware what is out of balance.

Some of the things you may want to look at, do you drive a car which has a large car payment and uses up a load of gas yet you cannot take your kids to the movies once in awhile………

Do you spend hours and hours working to support your lifestyle but never find the time to enjoy the lifestyle?

Are you surrounded by friends and family and still feel  alone.

There are several ways you can be out of balance where you are are not living your best life

Write down all the areas in your life that are important to you and rate them 0-10. 10 being balanced and 0 not being balanced.  Surprise yourself and see what you find out.

Life and People in your Life

It’s funny how people come and go in your life, how we allow people in our life that are toxic and not good for us and also people who are energy vampires.

We spend valuable time thinking about them, what they said, how they said it, what did they mean, what was that look they gave me.

When you truly believe in yourself and are comfortable with who you are and what you do then these people do not become part of your life or your thoughts.

We all know the saying ‘thoughts become things’ well this is very true.   What you are thinking will then manifest into either dis-ease or health.

Live the life you want to live and not someone else’s life.   We get caught up with family, friends, and boss’s all telling us what we should and should not do.   Say thanks and decide for yourself what is best for you.

Sometimes this means friends, family, spouses and some very close people to you may have to ‘not’ be part of your every day life anymore.

You have choices, they are your choices, so make them and start living your BEST life.

Moving and Packing – How do you do it?

Moving and packing does this drive you mad or do you love doing it?

Whenever I have moved I always plan well in advance and start packing weeks before.  I start with the things that are not used often or I can do without and then leave the essential things to the last few days.

What I have found, no matter how prepared, organized or planned I am when it comes to the actual day of moving there is always things that have not been packed up.

There is always stuff that won’t fit into the boxes or containers, there is always not enough containers and there is always something that won’t fit into the vehicle and therefore the last trip is never the last trip.

You plan how long it will take you to move on the day and then as always you never hit the deadline, why is this.

Even when I have used professionals to move and pack there is always something left that has to be pushed into the last available box or vehicle.

The stress of moving, packing and getting to your new destination is very high.   It is up there with divorce.

So whatever you plan for moving and packing remember to take the stress out of it.  I personally use and recommend EFT which helps a great deal.

Coaching or not?

Coaching should you really have coaching to help you achieve your goals? Coaching with someone who can motivate, inspire and understand you is essential for reaching your desired goal. If you are not having coaching or you do not want to spend the money for the coach the chances are less unless you are the type of person that is self motivated and determined no matter what happens and you are going to get your goal. However even those types of people can still benefit from coaching as you get a difference perspective and will find different ways to keep you on track.

One of the best ways to achieve the goals you set yourself is to get a good coach. Now this can be a Life Coach, Health & Wellness Coach, Personal Training Coach all of them will be trained in their specialized field and therefore able to help you achieve your goals.

How do you pick a good life coach? 2012 is upon us and for a lot of people 2012 is going to be a great year for them as they are going to make goals, resolutions, and make all sorts of promises to change. Weight loss, quit smoking, get healthy, start a fitness program, save money etc etc.

How to set your goals and plan.

2012 is here and what are you going to do about it?  Are you going to do the same as you did last year, did it work for you?   Are you going to make some changes, many changes or dramatic changes.

Being balanced, grounded and knowing what you want will help you achieve exactly what you want in 2012 and onwards.

Many of you will have already set new years resolutions and already broken them and it is only the first week of the new month of the new year.

Most people do not continue with their goals and dreams and resolutions because there are several things holding them back they do not realize.

Some of the things I have found over the years with my clients are :-

  • Fear of the unknown
  • Fear of success
  • Fear of failure
  • No planning
  • Negative self talk
  • No clear vision of what the end result will be
  • No motivation

These are just a few, when these things are addressed then success will come exactly as you would want it to.

Make 2012 your year but also make sure you are checking in with yourself and finding out the real reasons for you not achieving what you really want.

Holidays Are Nearly Over

New Year 2012 almost here and the holiday season nearly over. What are your plans for the New Year and what will 2012 hold for you.
How was your Holiday Season? Eating, drinking still more of that to come on New Years Eve and New Years Day………
Did you get everything you wished for? Or are you taking it all back into the crowded stores waiting in lines to exchange the item that a loved one spent hours choosing for you also standing in lines to purchase the item.
There is so much going on around the holiday time different traditions, pressure from family and friends to do ‘the right thing’ and that means different things to different people.

The amount of money that is spent on food, drinks, air travel, gas, clothing, gifts, the list is endless. Most people spend more than they have, more than they want to. The food takes hours to purchase, prepare and serve and only minutes to eat and then the left overs which could feed around 6 families usually get thrown away. What is it that drives us to spend way above what we can afford, are we trying to impress?
As the holidays are now coming to a close most people are now worrying about how they are going to pay for it all when they get the bills in the mail in January. Some people never get themselves caught up until March.
