Life and People in your Life

It’s funny how people come and go in your life, how we allow people in our life that are toxic and not good for us and also people who are energy vampires.

We spend valuable time thinking about them, what they said, how they said it, what did they mean, what was that look they gave me.

When you truly believe in yourself and are comfortable with who you are and what you do then these people do not become part of your life or your thoughts.

We all know the saying ‘thoughts become things’ well this is very true.   What you are thinking will then manifest into either dis-ease or health.

Live the life you want to live and not someone else’s life.   We get caught up with family, friends, and boss’s all telling us what we should and should not do.   Say thanks and decide for yourself what is best for you.

Sometimes this means friends, family, spouses and some very close people to you may have to ‘not’ be part of your every day life anymore.

You have choices, they are your choices, so make them and start living your BEST life.

Moving and Packing – How do you do it?

Moving and packing does this drive you mad or do you love doing it?

Whenever I have moved I always plan well in advance and start packing weeks before.  I start with the things that are not used often or I can do without and then leave the essential things to the last few days.

What I have found, no matter how prepared, organized or planned I am when it comes to the actual day of moving there is always things that have not been packed up.

There is always stuff that won’t fit into the boxes or containers, there is always not enough containers and there is always something that won’t fit into the vehicle and therefore the last trip is never the last trip.

You plan how long it will take you to move on the day and then as always you never hit the deadline, why is this.

Even when I have used professionals to move and pack there is always something left that has to be pushed into the last available box or vehicle.

The stress of moving, packing and getting to your new destination is very high.   It is up there with divorce.

So whatever you plan for moving and packing remember to take the stress out of it.  I personally use and recommend EFT which helps a great deal.

Good luck with your move.

What is Coaching?

What is coaching?

Coaching or not?

Coaching should you really have coaching to help you achieve your goals? Coaching with someone who can motivate, inspire and understand you is essential for reaching your desired goal. If you are not having coaching or you do not want to spend the money for the coach the chances are less unless you are the type of person that is self motivated and determined no matter what happens and you are going to get your goal. However even those types of people can still benefit from coaching as you get a difference perspective and will find different ways to keep you on track.

One of the best ways to achieve the goals you set yourself is to get a good coach. Now this can be a Life Coach, Health & Wellness Coach, Personal Training Coach all of them will be trained in their specialized field and therefore able to help you achieve your goals.

How do you pick a good life coach? 2012 is upon us and for a lot of people 2012 is going to be a great year for them as they are going to make goals, resolutions, and make all sorts of promises to change. Weight loss, quit smoking, get healthy, start a fitness program, save money etc etc.

Coaching Questions

What questions should you ask of your potential coach?

  • How many clients have they coached?
  • What modalities do they use?
  • Do they have any testimonials?
  • What is their Website?
  • Have they experienced they type of challenge you have or had a client who has experienced the same challenge.
  • Do they coach in person, over the phone, email?

How to set your goals and plan.

2012 is here and what are you going to do about it?  Are you going to do the same as you did last year, did it work for you?   Are you going to make some changes, many changes or dramatic changes.

Being balanced, grounded and knowing what you want will help you achieve exactly what you want in 2012 and onwards.

Many of you will have already set new years resolutions and already broken them and it is only the first week of the new month of the new year.

Most people do not continue with their goals and dreams and resolutions because there are several things holding them back they do not realize.

Some of the things I have found over the years with my clients are :-

  • Fear of the unknown
  • Fear of success
  • Fear of failure
  • No planning
  • Negative self talk
  • No clear vision of what the end result will be
  • No motivation

These are just a few, when these things are addressed then success will come exactly as you would want it to.

Make 2012 your year but also make sure you are checking in with yourself and finding out the real reasons for you not achieving what you really want.

Holidays Are Nearly Over

New Year 2012 almost here and the holiday season nearly over. What are your plans for the New Year and what will 2012 hold for you.
How was your Holiday Season? Eating, drinking still more of that to come on New Years Eve and New Years Day………
Did you get everything you wished for? Or are you taking it all back into the crowded stores waiting in lines to exchange the item that a loved one spent hours choosing for you also standing in lines to purchase the item.
There is so much going on around the holiday time different traditions, pressure from family and friends to do ‘the right thing’ and that means different things to different people.

The amount of money that is spent on food, drinks, air travel, gas, clothing, gifts, the list is endless. Most people spend more than they have, more than they want to. The food takes hours to purchase, prepare and serve and only minutes to eat and then the left overs which could feed around 6 families usually get thrown away. What is it that drives us to spend way above what we can afford, are we trying to impress?
As the holidays are now coming to a close most people are now worrying about how they are going to pay for it all when they get the bills in the mail in January. Some people never get themselves caught up until March.
I wish you all a very Happy New Year and a very prosperous and abundant 2012.

Depression and Mood Swings

“>Moods and Moods swings, what affects what type of mood you are going to be in?

People say things and you choose to react to, if you have children then how they behave can change what type of mood you are in.

Calm and assertive is always a good way to start your day BUT people, social media, news, and environment will change that calm and assertiveness to anger, anxiety, depression, sadness etc.

What do you do to overcome these changes in moods and what do you do to keep yourself calm and in a place of peace.

Having anxiety and anger gives you high blood pressure, pain, headaches and a general feeling of being unhealthy. So the only person you are really hurting when you have these moods swings is yourself.

Next time you feel angry at someone because you may have not been able to do what you want or they have changed things so that you cannot have what you desire, take a look at yourself and change. Just like “>Micheal Jackson says take a look in mirror.

The person, thing or environmental factor that is changing your mood is not in your control, what is in your control is how you choose to react to what is going on.

Remember your health comes first, so choose the right mood.

Have a wonderful day.

Cyber Monday

Traditional beginning of the online Christmas shopping season—when consumers return to work and start ordering online. The Monday after Thanksgiving.

What are you selling and can you sell it on the internet? Cyber Monday is a must for you to capitalize on your business. This is one of the busiest days on the internet for people to spend their money. Social Media used the right way can really drive traffic to your product and services.

Social Media influence is essential for your business no matter what you are selling. This took me awhile to figure out and there are so many people telling you what to put on your social media. Most of them contradict each other. So what really works.

People are different and they all buy differently so what works for one does not work for the other. Some people hate the direct approach where you put a link on your social media site and direct them to your product and some people like you to get right to the point and love your link. Some people will read all of your blogs, and some people will only read the parts that stand out so in my opinion you have to do a combination of all of it.

Being an NLP Master Practitioner and learning all about peoples behavior and how everyone has patterns. Most people that are selling are using the patter they use to buy so they are only attracting the people with the same buying pattern as themselves.

People are emotional buyers and appealing to their emotions usually works, it does not matter what medium you use, the difference is what medium you use to reach the masses. It is a numbers game so do a bit of everything and then take a look at where you are getting the best results then spend the time their and increase your results.

Happy Cyber Monday my special 50% of all phone sessions

Harry Potter

Harry Potter, whether you have read the books or seen the movies, you have to admit it is great stuff.

The movies were out on tv again last week and I loved seeing them again. The special effects are pretty spectacular.

My 9 year old grand daughter has the whole series of books and most of the DVD’s she loves them, although does find a few of the scenes a little scary. However my 4 year old grand daughter cannot sit long enough a the movies are way longer than the usual 1hour or so she is used to for her Disney movies.

Whatever you are doing over the holidays Harry Potter should be a part of them, great family fun. Up to 40% Off Harry Potter Books at BarnesandNoble.com!

11-11-11

11-11-11 time for transition and change what changes are going on for you right now?

Most individuals and companies have experienced some kind of transition along the way, some transitions are exciting and fun and other transition are stressful and depressing. Having moved from the UK to the US I found the transition quite smooth, exciting but with an added amount of stress also. How did work?
have moved lock, stock and barrel before, from Scotland to England, England to Australia and back to England and I knew to do quite a few things ahead of time to make the move easier. There is a lot to think about when you and your family move, things to consider housing, schools, employment, visas the list can go on and on depending on your circumstances.

One thing I know for sure it is a great asset and investment if you have someone ‘in the know’ to help and guide you along. Someone who understands the difference in culture, how to pronounce things, where to go. Where to get the best buys. This will cut down a lot of time, money and stress. Just because you may have moved from one English speaking country to another English speaking country does not mean that you will be able to communicate as well as you think. There are so many variations of meanings to a single word that can be crucial for you to know so as not to offend. Even more stress..

Stress Facts

o 7 out of 10 people in the US suffer from stress

o 55% of lost work days are stress related

o 80% of industrial accidents are due to stress

o 43% of adults suffer adverse health effects because of stress

Stress is a bigger risk to the health of the population than cigarette smoking, high cholesterol foods and alcohol. Moving is one of the top most stressful things you can do, moving state or country increases the stress up the ladder even more. If you are moving because of a divorce or family separation then the stress moves up the ladder even further.

One of my clients moved to Orlando from the UK with 2 children, the transition for him was fine because he was transferred by his employer. For the wife and children however things were quite different. They chose to follow their father and husband and therefore had to transition into new schools, new neighbors. Another one of my clients moved and bought a business and his challenges were trying to find out how to promote his business, where was the best place to live for commuting. Where to Network, how to market, what marketing tools worked best for his product.

Whatever type of transition you are in there is help out there for you if you know where to find it. Sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know and therefore do not know what questions to ask or who to ask them of.

Personal Transition

You may not have moved from another state or another country but your transition could be recently divorced, recently married, just had a child and trying to juggle work life balance. You may have been promoted, demoted, bought a business or selling a business. You could be approaching retirement. One of the biggest transitions is moving from the corporate world into the world of self employment, owning your own business including network marketing. In the corporate world there is money available, resources and expertise in each area. When you are on your own you have to be able to recognize your strengths and your challenges.

There are many times in our life we go through transition. As young adults and children sometimes the choices we make may find us being detained or incarcerated, this is a transition that causes major stress, depression and sometimes suicide. By working with these individuals and facilitating those overcoming fears, anger, and abandonment enables them to transition back into society without the constant re-offending.

Grief over losing a loved one or pet can be a very challenging and lonely time for anyone. There is always a stress factor, a learning experience or a challenge to overcome.

Some Tips to help overcome some of the stress:

Take regular breaks from what you are doing

Meditate

Take Deep Breaths

Write a list of all the things you are grateful for and read them daily

Surround yourself with positive people

Change your self talk

Walk in the fresh air and take in nature

Have a plan for the day

Transition whatever it is for you if you have a plan will reduce the challenges and take you to your next phase with ease and happiness.

Emotional Freedom Techniques

EFT is like acupuncture without the needles, easy to use anytime, anywhere.

Seeing and being with certain family members can stir up some very strong emotions centered around childhood memories.

What happens every time we access these memories we re live them and also attach to-days memories to them also. We re-act to situations with these emotions in the background.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a great way to release these emotions once and for all. You will then be amazed at your feelings over the holiday period when people you are with trigger the events which in turn trigger the emotion. Now you will be able to trigger the event without the emotion.

Before any holidays get underway, the tapping should be done from this moment on. Write down all the events from your childhood that trigger a negative emotion for you to-day. Once you have made this list which might be quite long, do not worry about how long this list is, you now have all the information you need to start tapping.

Follow this link for a diagram on where to tap.

Get very specific about the event when you are tapping, for example,

Even though I am angry that Dad hit with the belt when my sister knocked over his beer I deeply and profoundly love and accept myself.”

The more specific you are the more you will get the issue resolved. Keep tapping rounds until you get a neutral feeling when you recall the specific event. Your list may get shorter quicker than you realize as some of the events may be connected and when you clear one event it also clears another.

Remember the tail-enders, this is where when you tell yourself that you are going to have a great holiday and be pleasant to Dad, a voice in your head is saying, “after what he did to you I don’t think so”. Keep tapping until you can look at meeting the person without any voices or negative feelings anywhere in your body. Really check in and tune into your body especially if you have any pain. Pain is also a sign of unresolved issues that have been ignored and are now manifesting themselves as pain somewhere in your body.

Remember to rate the level on intensity from 0-10, 10 being the worst you feel. You then have a benchmark of how much emotion is attached to the specific event. Your goal is to get the emotional charge to a 0.

In conclusion, for you to have a great thanksgiving and holiday time. Make EFT a daily routine every day of the year. Your every day lifestyle has stress, anxiety, frustrations etc and if you get into the habit of tapping every day you will release these emotions and blockages. This in turn will stop the pile up which causes major blockages, dis ease, pain, headaches and general depressed states of mind.
